New Everton Stadium

I was at the Principality (Millenium) stadium this weekend. The retractable roof (and stadium as a whole) is very impressive. Would love BMD to have a retractable roof too, another Everton first, great for atmosphere and a potential money spinner for gigs etc.
On another note, I was in the nosebleeds and the view was still great. I’m not sure how the top stand height and angle compares to BMD but I’d imagine it’s similar.

Just got back from watching Real Madrid,stadium from outside looks pretty poor but it’s surrounded by tall buildings so you don’t get the totally feel for it like a stand alone stadium like BMD.
Inside it’s some stadium roof for some reason was closed with 21 degrees outside and no rain? We were 10 rows from the top of
The stadium which made the players look so small and so far away but the 18 massive screens in the roof space were great for action replays.
The ultras at the back of one goal about a thousand at a push were an embarrassment so plastic singing off an autocue all wearing white tops but the rest of the stadium just didn’t bother joining in when they were singing hope we don’t look at anything so staged.

Was watching the Rangers Hearts game on Sunday and they had a section like that behind the goal to the right. Reminds me of Crystal Palace section at Selhurst Park. I don`t like it as it feels very staged, dosen`t add to the atmosphere, and if anything it highlights the lack of atmosphere in the rest of the ground. Same at Celtic with their looney section in the corner. Can work out how you can follow a game properly while constantly singing the same tune for 10 or 15 minutes with a couple of huge flags being waved at the front of the section blocking your view.
