Yes mate, we've done schools with exposed ceilings. It's more common than you'd think. Also, it's a football stadium, not an office block.

I wouldn't mind a bet that the South Upper stands have more bar service space than the goal line bar, as they are islands, meaning service can take place all around them (I've never seen the goal line bar)

It should just be the upper. We know that people in the upper East (and to a point West) can walk round to the South. Whether people from the lower can just take the escalators up unchecked who knows, but if they can then it could get crowded up there.
That said the fact that it would be busy may keep the numbers in check and Everton bank on people going early to have a pint (or 2) in the South upper for the view, but then return to their own areas in good time, before it goes from empty-ish to crazy busy.

Suspended ceilings are a thing of the past. They make places feel small and claustrophobic. Very 1980's/1990's suburban office park.
Agreed. They are also always them horrible looking boards which go rusty brown when wet and come off easily. The industrial look is the in thing.

I hope the catering is a lot better than it has been at Goodison. The last pie I bought had really hot pastry with freezing cold filling and the last sausage roll was incinerated pastry with stone cold filling. Never tasted the luke warm Chang thankfully.

I’m working on a school in Wigan now and all the ceilings are open.
The only modern day buildings with suspended ceilings are hospitals.
My neighbours sons girlfriends stepdad is involved in the catering and apparently part of the reason the concourses are so big is Dan Freidkin wasn’t impressed with the Foot Long Hot Dogs and has instructed Sodexo to change them to Yard Long Texas Dawgs.
Suspect the food will be significantly better.
