It's the siphonic drainage. It's designed to carry huge volumes of water and is used on pretty much all large commercial roof areas to limit the number of downpipes. What i don't understand and would love to learn is how was there just so much water. Surely a breach in the roof would not cause it, and if it's drains why would it come from a covered up area at the back of a large stand? I can understand a leak on a new roof but not of that magnitude
Thanks mate Just looking at diagrams of it now, seems air locks can be an issue. Clever system when working though. It's the siphonic drainage. It's designed to carry large volumes of water and is used on pretty much all large commercial roof areas to limit the number of downpipes.
Problem being that if there is ever a failure of the system, like this for whatever reason, those huge volumes of water can cause quite severe flooding.
Kopite sabotageSiphonic drainage...apparently: Most common cause of operational problems and system failures is blockages in pipework and gutters - can be avoided with a regular maintenance program. Incorrect installation resulting in air being trapped in the system.

I said that earlier, can't tell if it's a trick of the camera but it looked well broken up.Has that concrete started cracking ? Thats more of a concern if so
I would imagine there should be enough demand for one in south Liverpool AND one in the north end. Maybe they might build 2? Any suggestions what we would do with the site? Park and ride with a bus? Nah, seems like a waste of prime "real estate". Hotel etc?

Hmmm, good point.I’m am a little surprised that the water if finding a way to run down into the concessions rather than continue down to terrace to the pitch.
I guess they don’t design it that way as it not supposed to happen.
