New Everton Stadium

It looked like that to me too: too many moving parts.

The pitch being dropped in pieces below the surface to about 6 chambers - one on top of the other - and a special grass grown for it to be maintained is unreal. All to use the Bernabeu as an entertainment complex.

1.1 billion euro and 5 years of work.

They even had a game against Liverpool months before the official opening...presumably to make it Kopite-proof - the ultimate stress test.
It's like the future you expected if you watched Thunderbirds as a kid, hope it generates the revenue to make it commonplace.

The whole of the media are creating clickbait stories.

I personally like this:

Everton risk mass ridicule as embarrassing footage shared from new stadium.

It's easier to ridicule us for our on pitch antics, rather than point at the UNFINISHED stadium.
Some Evertonians have swallowed this story, hook line and sinker, haven't they? We do have some idiots following us. No wonder Kenwright had a stranglehold for so long.

Granted, I’ve not lived in the motherland for nearly a decade now, but can someone please explain this Tesco thing to me? It’s literally the most unfunny attempt at ‘megabantz’ I’ve ever heard. The stadium resembles a stadium, and a beautiful bespoke one at that. It’s not even like we’ve created a Lego stadium or something. Is it just them lot being weird as usual?

Maybe they're confused with Destination Kirkby which actually would have been a Tesco. In comparison, this is a Waitrose.

What is wrong with the floor though where you see the water running down from the roof? It looks pretty messed up.

Not sure what the black is, possibly some of the anti-slip paint that has been spilt. Some of the screed looks to have blown at the bottom of the steps though.

Ultimately all of these issues will be sorted. LoR will have a minimum 12 month defects correction period, plus there will be warranties against anything and everything.

It's a £750-£850m project. There will be issues and things that need correcting. Nothing to worry about.
