New Everton Stadium

It was highlighted when it happened at OT a short while ago. I just saw a short clip and the fact we are only a few weeks away from being handed the keys I`d be a little worried to see that amount of water flowing down the stands. Were they going to hand over a stadium in the middle of a British winter and then say we`ll start on the drainage system in the summer.

The reason there was so much rain water pouring through the roof of the stand at Mould Trafford is because their stadium was done on the cheap 30 years ago and it is now starting to fail after years of not being maintained. The reason you could see so much rain water at our new stadium is because that is because it is not yet finished and is still a construction site.

While I'm in agreement that this is no big deal and not worth getting upset about, I guess a reasonable expectation would be that this shouldn't be happening now concourses are being fitted out.

Think we all need to be a bit less sensitive about fans of other clubs laughing about this.

It's funny.

We'd all be laughing if it was anyone else.
In truth only a tiny minority care about what other fans think.

It is a bit worrying that this can happen again so close to handover.

Most buildings would be made water tight before work got well underway on the internal work though. No point working on the electrical work and then having a load of water pouring in.

We are talking about top of their industry construction professionals mate, we are not talking about Moshiri and Bill doing te build themselves.

Relax and don't let ckickbait push you into flapping.

Agreed. As much as this isn't anything to really worry about, this absolutely shouldn't be happening at this stage. The Siphonic system should have been completed long ago. They're clearly experiencing some issue rather than it being unfinished, or perhaps there has been a delay with something that means they haven't been able to complete it fully. I don't know.

That being said, the time to worry is if it happens after the stadium is open and we're all sat inside next season, not when it is still efffectively under construction.

It will be water tight fgs, stop flapping.

Those seats and steps the water is runnihg down, are OUTSIDE, so will always be open to the eliments - Nothing to do with all the inside structure, with electricty, plumbing, insulation etc.

Use your heads people!! 🤣

You have seen that the water is flowing down into the concourse, though, haven't you?

There`s a roof over that area that cost tens of millions to install. Roofs are supposed to keep thing dry that are under them not drown everyone in the near area.
