New Everton Stadium

On the transport issue I don't see a massive amount shifting from cars to trains/buses. The wider parking restrictions will mean people forced to park further away. As a consequence I can see a larger than usual number of people arriving late/making early departures from the ground and will probably impact non PL game attendances.
Midweek games will be challenging for many for whom car is only option after working all day and/or need to travel from outside Merseyside. All IMO of course.

Well, your post history is you just constantly wetting yourself over minor issues for what's going to be an amazing stadium which is definitely not as difficult to get to as goodison.

Unless you're a moaning old fart who thinks everything should be better for them.
No, that's just not correct, fella. I'm as enthusiastic about the new stadium as anyone I know. My posts will confirm that.

What I do draw people's attention to is the need for the powers that be to augment public transport provision on a match day to help get 53,000 people to and from the match. You call that a "minor issue"? You're entitled to your opinion. But I think most people would suggest it's fairly important.

I'm sorry, but as it is at the moment, getting to the new stadium is more difficult than getting to Goodison for most fans. That is a simple fact. I hope that that is not the case by next August. The argument I make is not difficult to follow.

Why Merseyrail run trains every 30 minutes on Sunday match days and certain times every days is beyond me. They should have as many trains as possible running to Sandhills from Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross as possible for 2 hours before and after the game to help disperse the fans. Kirkdale station is a nightmare on night games and Sunday games.

Stop talking sense, fella. You'll get a bollocking off someone on here.

This,I prefer going on the train to lime street and walking in from there and same going back but evening games leaves one, maybe two trains home, miss those and it's a big issue so have to go in the car

Fair enough having the restricted zones around ho and anfield as there's lots of homes etc but I think the restrictions around what is mostly industrial areas is a bit daft

Transport issues you say?

People could be easily convinced to use busses, if there was a decent service with regular busses to the ground and from the ground.

I agree , Sundays is a problem but on weekdays there are trains about every five minutes through the bottleneck known as Sandhills . Anyone can see there is no scope to enlarge the station but Merseyrail could put on more carriages . I was at Kirkdale for the Chelsea game and it was chaos , expect the same for Forest this Sunday. Merseyrail seem reluctant to increase capacity except for Aintree Races.

No bus firm is going to build a regular bus route around a place that only has 25-30 events a year all of which could be on at various times and various days of week.
Soccer bus style shuttles on a matchday are the only feasible solution imo.
