Anyone one know why the boundary fence is different near the fit out offices?

I assume it’s something to do with the underpass bit, but not sure why it would need to be different.

It might be because that’s where the coach will almost come to a stop for the left turn, security reasons maybe.

It’s weather protection for when the players disembark there if it’s raining/windy I think.

I did wonder if it was wind mitigation but it just seemed too small a section, in what’s basically open fencing, to make much difference.
I guess that’s what the weather modelling boffins get paid for….

I always assumed the coach’s would turn and drop them at central entrance to the underpass bit on the stepped terrace, which struck me as a long way to have to do crowd control for traffic
Make more sence for them to get out there and walk along the underpass and the coach drive straight in to the parking area.

They are currently working on how far out the roof should extend so fans dont get soaked when it rains.

It will use the central opening normally but in poor weather, when the front is closed off, they will use the end one.

That fence is there for wind mitigation as it's one of the worst affected areas apparently. I expected it to be longer than that but presumably that's all the wind modelling deemed necessary.

Old Hall street nearly lifts you off your feet at times, it's horrendous.

That is absolutely a wind baffle BTW, stops the wind barrelling through the underpass.
