New Everton Stadium

I only know about now (and I'm not a ST holder...yet).
You have to have a digital account. Within there (More - Tickets - Friends and family network) is the option to search for "members", search criteria is member number and surname.
Alternatively 'Add member', which the club will use the email address you provide, to email the recipient a link to activate. Im guessing they too, have to have a customer number
Thanks will try that later 👍

I'm confused about why this is needed. Is this to give a person with a membership number some sort of credit, or is it to follow Everton's rules?

I mentioned it on a previous post but we have been passing on our season ticket to various family members or friends for years at Goodison if we can't attend a certain match for whatever reason and never had to jump through any hoops. The season card has just been scanned at the turnstile by whoever was using it and no Steward has ever questioned it. I assume there are hundreds, maybe thousands doing this every week.

Are Everton intending to put a stop to this at the new ground?
This slso us due to work commitments.

A utd fan in work gets roind it by having his mates login details for the utd app. Simply logs in swipes his ticket lets his mrs in. Then logsout. Logs back into his accoubt and swipes himself in.

I noticed yesterday on the stadium website they have an image of light beams extending upwards from three corners, each corner has two criss-crossing beams. It looked good. I'd assume these are going to be added in the coming weeks/months and maybe used on matchnights only.
I think they may just be shown for dramatic effect. I doubt anything like that would be permitted due to the proximity of the airport.

Seriously though, can't they just adjust the strength of the beam?

Light travels till it's stopped really. If you shine a torch towards a plane at night, the pilot would be able to see it, assuming it's isn't drowned out by ambient lights.

For anything to be even remotely visible as a beam it would have to have many more lumens than surrounding lamps, and therefore be the dominant visual to anybody looking at it.

How do you enter family and friends to your account.. I have a ticket for the Trinity Bar, but can also get my season ticket which I would like to pass on to my grandson. On a match by match basis.

I can vouch for this. I was in Edinburgh in December and had to miss the Wolves game. My father-in-law was going to take my son to the game using my season ticket, but I forgot to leave the cards. I signed him up on the website to get him a customer number, but I couldn't transfer the tickets to him. In the end I called Everton and they explained that the customer number needs to have an active membership now for you to be allowed to transfer it (this wasn't the case until this season). I had to pay £35 over the phone to activate a membership for my father-in-law (who's actually a Watford season ticket holder) for him to be allowed to take my ticket digitally.
Happened to me. I have a Dad and his lad sat next to me and one game myself and Mrs couldn't make the game so tried unsuccessfully to digitally transfer our tickets to him so he could bring a family member visiting. Even though we are linked as friends he was not an EFC member (neither am I) and when I called the club to ask why I couldn't transfer my ticket it was because we are not (£35) members and it was deemed unfair on members who are hoping for spare tickets to come up. In other words if you have a friend visiting, or want to give your tickets to someone who might otherwise never get to a game, then you will not be able to do it unless thay are also members. I understand that this policy was only introduced at the start of this season, the last at Goodison, as tickets in high demand.
The only way around this season it is to give someone your physical ST and let them attend the game. If they scrap the physical ST cards, which reading this thread, seems like this is going to happen, you will no longer be able to give your ticket as a one off to someone, unless they are members with a customer number. This is the ways its going and unless fans make a noise about they will just implement this.
