It never was ours. Moshiri was part of an investor group from Luxembourg called Corestate Capital that bought it for £48m. The building was never owned by or in the name of Everton. We just had offices there.

With this in mind, is there any reason the Liver building is blue tonight? I know Moshiri and Corestate own it but Moshiri isn’t here any more. Are TFG looking to buy it from them to use as HQ?

When it gets colourful it's usually for some cause in conjunction with other buildings (cunard, pol, sgh, town hall, tower etc).

The town hall always has an explanation posted on its railings to explain the reason for the colour(s).

Be interesting if they include the stadium in these civic displays as some are red.
