New Everton Stadium

I don't know how to link it mate. It's post #7853 by a guy called MIG. It says:
"Had a chat with Bill last night. He said there's a major stadium announcement coming on Thursday. And then the big signings will come after the club show how big our ambitions are. He seemed pretty confident."
This sounds impressive until you realise that in a subsequent post he reveals that 'bill' is his kettle and it's also telling him that the CIA are stealing his dreams as part of a Jewish banking conspiracy

Why would he tell someone knowing they wanna announce it themselves? ( Everton )

West Ham's looks awful but any new ground we build will inevitably have the seats a bit further from the pitch than we are used to simply to observe guidelines to do with UEFA etc but nothing like what West Ham fans have got to get used to. You never see new grounds have the seats as close to the pitch as the likes of older ones at Goodison or Anfield.

The UEFA dimensions are only guidelines.
They're not enforcibal when designing/building a new stadium.

There's absolutely no reason why we can't have the first row as close to the pitch as it is at present. It'll basically come down to wether the club want to do it.

The new stadium for Spurs has disregarded the UEFA guidelines after input from the fans who didn't want to see the new WHL have huge gaps between the pitch and the fan like we can see at the Emirates.
They even went so far as to have the "home end" even close to the pitch.
Diagram attached.

Good point. It's ok being a media-whore if you are successful, but when you are a mid-table team it looks ridiculous. Am not unhappy that Mr Moshiri is a doer not a talker as far as the club is concerned - he is already fast-approaching the status of the legendary Mr John.

:D Wow!Mr John! I haven't heard that in over 35 years!

My old (late) nan worked at Littlewoods Pools and would always talk of Mr John and Mr Cecil arriving on a Saturday night!(They were the Moore's brothers for anyone the age of 45!)

Within their joint businesses, Mosh and Usmanov are referred to by others as Director A and Director B.

I have been told that where the stadium is to be sited we will need to fill in one of the docks, and also fill in a second to accommodate the car park.

@LinekersLegs You and me both :)

Funding for the stadium I would imagine will be a mixture of debt and equity, but with more variables being thrown into the mix such as Commonwealth Games bid, which could potentially lead to other streams of funding from leasing etc.

Think what you're referring to is the post by @The Esk on why the move needn't require a price hike.

I hold a slightly different view to esk the percentages of debt and equity and am a miserable sod.

Of course it could end up being developed by an external party and then leased to the club I suppose, but don't think this is a realistic scenario.
