New Everton Stadium

I have only heard of Bramley Moore docks being purchased, no word of secondary dock or other waterfront land purchased. I'd be very, very surprised though if a second dock, or other prime waterfront land, was used as a car park.

Over the road from the Tobacco warehouse, between that and the railway line there is a massive empty space that can be used for a big car park, by Great Howard Street and Sherwood, no way will they waste dockland for a car park.

Funny isn't it because when you look at the size of that empty space, you could just about fit Goodison into it!

I was just wondering whether they would want the stadium next to the waste plants without some sort of 'space as seperation?
Guess until we know we are all guesstimating?

I've tried to remain level headed about this, not get too excited till we have official announcement.

It's becoming harder though, this actually sounds like it's genuinely ON.

Hope we get some sort of statement from the club soon. Fingers crossed.

The only question is 'when' will it be announced. If Everton stay true to recent form, the answer is' about a day after they start to build it.

Repeating what I said about 400 pages ago but, if it's Bramley Moore dock, I would be concerned about the proximity of the sewage plant. Would be happier if it was further south towards Clarance / Trafalgar

@LinekersLegs You and me both :)

Funding for the stadium I would imagine will be a mixture of debt and equity, but with more variables being thrown into the mix such as Commonwealth Games bid, which could potentially lead to other streams of funding from leasing etc.

Think what you're referring to is the post by @The Esk on why the move needn't require a price hike.

I hold a slightly different view to esk the percentages of debt and equity and am a miserable sod.

Of course it could end up being developed by an external party and then leased to the club I suppose, but don't think this is a realistic scenario.[/USER]
The miserable sod bit is just because you haven't fully embraced PoP yet mate - your life will be a sunnier place if you have the odd slice of Hawaiian pizza now and then x

What would be your preferred debt/equity ratio?
