New Everton Stadium

Same as Goodison in that sense. Eventually little shops, pubs, bars, will spring up and you know the big boys like Maccies, kfc, costa are all going to want in on the action. That’s why getting Nelson Dock could be a stroke of genius. Buy it, in fill most of it, keep some water for decoration and the rest get attracting big retailers.
With the Club getting the ground rent. It could be quite an attraction for the surrounding area in years to come and be like a Little Venice where it becomes a 24/7 venue with locals and visitors alike.

The most AI thing I’ve ever read!

I wrote a script that crawls through each page, extracts specific sections of the html code and their contents to string in a format that is machine readable. Ive then passed that through a research tool which allows natural language questions to be asked of it.

I know its all a bit sad, but there is more to come. If you don't really want to read it, then you will soon be able to listen to it. The only work is in creating the code tbh. Also, its parameterised, so any forum thread can be analysed in the same way. Not that anyone cares like...

Some of it was really interesting, some of it was out of whack!

I like that I’m largely known for posting the dimensions of the available land at Bramley Moore way back… and debating whether or not the water was included!

That sounds like madness when it’s summarised, but from memory I think I was interested in whether we had to pay Peel for the water - as it’s not land - but I guess we did!

As its now a live research tool, I can explore in depth your contribution to the thread, expanding on your particular points of interest and timeline it all.

You carry on mate.
Apart from me being referred to as "a user" ffs Jacko.

Gives a great insight from " It's never getting built " to the Magnificent Structure well all see now.
Very popular thread highlighting a huge contribution from the forum members .

Well done mate 👏

They weren't removed though where they, we've been over this. There were no seats ever installed at either location.

You can point to what was shown on the planning drawings all you want, but in the context of seat provision those layouts are largely immaterial. It's what is built that counts.

Will we have the same conversation if the two sections in the AWAY end are also not obstructed with it now being confirmed as safe standing? What will the argument be then? "Well if they sit down they can't see" 🤷‍♂️

Well, if the fans sit down anywhere in the safe standing area they're going to have an issue seeing the pitch ;)

The argument was that the designed seats all had clear/good views because such a mistake was not possible nowadays with modern 3D CAD and VR
design etc. Evidently that wasn't the case, otherwise those seats would've been installed as designed, and been ready to start paying for themselves next season.

The resultant view is the equivalent of a vertical letter box view.... you can see the whole pitch (provided no one leans on the dividing wall), but a big proportion of your lateral view is a concrete wall, with no view whatsoever of the key feature-end stand or Blue wall. All of which is different to the original Meis layouts... one blending in the lower tier seamlessly and the other turning the lower tier fully around the corner with dividing wall parallel with the goal line. (Did that change in his absence?). Hence the reason why we don't see a similar corner arrangement at any other new builds. No-one said it was a big issue, or that it affected lots of seats, just that it occurred and was unnecessary.

I didn't bring up the away end views (nor ones next to the press section in the West Stand) that was another poster who I think was working on it and had been to those positions.... I'm also not sure if the away end ones in question were all originally planned to be safe-standing or not.

Yes I used the escalators to get up to the Upper South, from what I could see that is the only way in once you're through the turnstile.
My Dad was sat in Upper North so had to walk around to the West Side to get in, no escalators down that end.

I'm not sure if the escalators are available at every turnstile for the upper south Stand. I went through the central ones for the first event and had access to them there. Went North Stand for 2nd and had the climb.
