New Everton Stadium

Spurs stadium looks amazing for the boxing.

Struggling to see how Bramley Moore does this.
spuds' big toilet shaped fun drome was purposely designed as a multi sport facility, making it less than ideal for togger but great for the other events. BMD has been designed as a footy stadium that can do a bit on the side, so the footy bit will be brilliant, the other stuff will be an adaption to get in and not quite as good.

I'm good with that.

Spurs stadium was primarily designed for association football. The moving pitch is what gives it the flexibility, this does not in any way impair its performance as a football stadium. The lower American football surface making it better for that sport than any other UK stadium, by allowing for the large number of standing personnel on the sidelines for those events.

Everyone knows that, Tom. You sound at times like a walking, talking stadium prospectus. Stop patronising people.

I think BMD could be a good venue for events like the boxing last night, but it won`t be an option as a venue until the surrounding area gets developed and we get a transport system that can handle big crowds leaving at very late hours. Main fight started 10pm last night I think. The cattle pen at Sandhills would be locked up at that time.

Thanks for the post degsy. That should be mandatory reading for any supporter of the club interested in the BMD development.

Tom Hughes knows his stuff. He might want GP redeveloped as a first desire, but he isn't a Luddite and would be on board with this if it were logistically and financially possible.

Found this interesting from 6yr ago. From what I can see @Tom Hughes hasnt changed his stance from the post he made on Toffeeweb that you agreed with, but you seem to have gone spoiling for an argument here and on the Sandhills thread anyways

No, no, no. Itls not me who's deviated MY position...

Tom does know his stuff about all this. Unfortunately his Achilles heel is that he's more interested in bashing the club than his acquaintances in the local state now over the real f.u over transportation that's now manifest.

Ah well.

You know that’s not true and only have to read their responses to you on the precise topic of blame to see. However you ignore what’s said, claim an agenda and continue spinning like the politicians you profess to hate

You may not have deviated in your position Dave, but it doesn't make you right. You've just been wrong for a long time.

Until they have successfully got match days right it shouldn’t even be considered for any other events.
The first full capacity game is going to be a shttshow.

That's not true. I've always been unconvinced by the stadium transportation situation. Almost a decade of viewing it that way - though I must confess I never banged on about it every day either.

What did change was my view that the stadium would ever be built...but then again, seeing is believing...not a bad stance to take up considering the utter calamity of THREE previous stadium schemes.
