New Everton Stadium

I think it’s simple. Winning things help keep the ground full, expensive tickets and no trophies. It’s going to be difficult to fill any ground week in week out.
I don't see the issue with not selling out every week. I remember the sub 20k crowds being a regular thing.

I think people are only bothered by not selling out because some random fan of a different team on the internet might say 'ah you're crap you didn't sell out'

It was funny to see the Emptyhad when we played them in the league cup semi under Martinez. The upper tier on the camera side of the ground was left completely empty so it looked full on tv. When you have seen the coverage and the fan reaction to how great that BMD has become, and how we have had some of our own fans complaining that the 53k capacity is too small, it will not be a good look if we have lots of empty seats in view when we start playing there. Next season won`t be a problem selling out. The hospitality seating areas will no doubt be slow to fill up `after HT which has been a problem at Arsenal and at Wembley.

We could only get 33k to Goodison for the Carabao Cup tie against Southampton this season. And that was with £5 kids tickets.

Those early round games in the league cup are hard to get big attendances for, partly because they are midweek, and when you get drawn with a team you`ll play in the league anyway makes it even less attractive a game to go to. It might be a good idea to have all the PL teams play their first round of those games away at a lower division side as the league 1 and 2 teams would get a full house instead of playing at a half empty stadium.

Not a good look to who?

Just watched the presser and saw that.
If he’d got his backside down there sooner (or signed up to GoT) he’d know what was going on at the stadium.
No good getting the hump when you’ve shown next to no interest in the place until this week.
I mean to be fair he had his hands tied fixing the mess left by the previous numpty and saving the club from relegation.
