New Everton Stadium

Matches with the rest of the gossip.

Can't read that mate. Can you make the font bigger?

And so it begins....

I have no idea what the plan is for Goodison mate. Wold be nice to have something there that leaves our Mark. An on site visitors centre, full refurb into something.... I have no idea I just know it'll be sad to leave but vital for us that we do. Another chapter in our illustrious history.
Would be nice to work with the school to help them expand, give them more playing space, maybe a sports hall.

.

If Peel had reservations they wouldn't of dealt with us. Truth is they wanted to do business with us because of what we can offer. A stadium and a team that will symbolise the city and help define it's world famous skyline for many generations to come. The first club in the city, doing mutually benificial business that helps to regenerate an area rather that manage its decline, without a second thought for the families that had long lived around the ground like you did in Anfield. Even as we prepare to leave we are ensuring a lasting legacy by trying to maximise the positive impact of the club on its spiritual home, free schools, social hubs.... you just ran down the innocent locals until they bowed to your expensive lawyers and bully tactics all so that you could increase your profits. What your club did to your local community was shocking, but not surprising. And don't go giving me any guff about you investing locally cause we all know that was a stipulation of any grant or permissions you recieved and it wouldn't of been done otherwise cause the people of Liverpool are not valuable enough to your club.
Er, not giving any guff. The club behaves in a [Poor language removed] way towards local residents and have done for years. Hopefully the new housing that is going up in the area (through housing associations, [Poor language removed] all to do with FSG) will give the residents the area they deserve.

Everton owned the row of houses behind the Park End - that was where old players and former club employees lived. They re-homed the people and knocked the houses down for the Park End extension almost 25 years ago.

Some more context of where this supposed stadium would be in relation to the (what I would call edge of the city centre as it stands - using Beetham Tower on Old Hall Street as reference):

Bramley Moore appears to be of a similar distance from Beetham Tower as the Echo arena is - and that isn't a taxing walk by any means. Obviously the area would need more transport infrastructure and amenities, but I expect large parts of that would be part of any Everton development here.

Before Liverpool 1 was built the Albert Dock used to feel like a long walk from the city centre. That development was brilliant in linking the city centre to the waterfront though so it feels like a natural extension of town. If they get the development of the stadium and the surrounding area right as part of a joined up waterfront then I bet it will feel like it's not far away at all and blues will be walking with ease from the city centre pubs. At the moment the site just feels a bit dislocated.

The only problem with that image is that stadium shown is about 3-4 times the size of an actual stadium, so it makes it look a lot closer that it will really be.

Its also the Emirates, which we don't want.

Nope, the screenshots of Liverpool and the Emirates were taken at the same zoom level. Look at the size of it in comparison to the Echo arena - a 60k stadium would dwarf that.

If they can create a walking path along the waterfront that would be sensational. Imagine walking from the city center to Everton's ground along the water.

If M&S on church street is the centre, then Bramley-moore is 1.5 miles away.

For reference, goodison is 2.5 milies and Anfield 2 miles.
