New Everton Stadium

Mind your words lads. That could be seen as a dig to Hillsborough.

Liverpool and Everton should go no where near terracing not with City's history.

On the contrary, maybe one of those two clubs should be the ones to pioneer the return.

We all know the history. It wasn't the mere fact of match goers standing that caused it. Hell, I've watched a match in a standing terrace before (Volksparkstadion, Hamburg). It was a pretty similar design to the Celtic safe standing area with the railings for each level, but there weren't any jump seats.

If we were told the players joining with Stones leaving at the start of the window none of us would have believed it.

The only player who seems like he will be a good aquisition is Gana...with the £40mil+ for stones frittered away.

I was thinking that this will surely cause a problem for people leaving the ground.

There is only a single entrance gate at the northern end of BM dock, and a double gate at the southern end. (There's also a double gate at the southern side of Nelson dock - if that was to be included).

As everybody needs to enter and leave the ground from this side, surely this will cause a problem if additional gates can't be knocked through.
Mini bridges? Safe and leave the wall untouched.

Why would anyone want to conserve a crap wall that was built by slaves? How long are they planning on keeping the wall there for? Forever? Ridiculous, imo.

Safe standing should come back and will eventually.

In all honesty, I also fail to see why Hillsborough is used as an example in this? Hillsborough was not caused by fans standing but terrible policing which lead to too many people being directed into one pen, rather than spread across the stand. If the police had done their job correctly and also not opened that gate, it would not have happened.

Safe standing would remove the very unsafe practice of people standing in full seater stadiums. Also, given with safe standing everyone still has a ticketed 'standing area/seat' it would be impossible for a situation similar to Hillsborough to arise.

Emotive a subject as Hillsborough is, it shouldn't mean we are unable to explore safe standing. If the majority of football fans want it back and, once explored, it is deemed safe, then it should be brought back.
Yep. Hillsborough happened on terracing, but not because of terracing.

To be honest, rail seating has absolutely nothing in common with terracing, and the sooner any relationship is broken, the better.
