New Everton Stadium

Thatll do but bigger.

Juventus-Stadium-7.jpg

It does look great...make the second tier bigger and paint it blue.

I'd like a roof, a train station for the utter loon that used to post here, and one of the stands named after Ross Barkley seeing as his sale will be funding it. On the off chance this project isn't binned quietly in a year or two's time.

Can someone quickly run through the main benefits of a new stadium?

Some off the top of my head:

Increased turnover.
More corporate facilities.
Better concourse.
No poor sight lines.
More fans watching Everton in person.
The club becomes more attractive to new fans, potential investors and staff (backroom/players).

Increased capacity - we currently have 31000 season ticket holders and rising, plus about 4000 of our current 40000 capacity is obstructed views, which as a result struggle to sell.

Increased corporate facilities. We have 8 executive boxes at Goodison. Hull City have 28. Arsenal have 152. If you think a box per season costs £40k to rent, and apply that to us and the other two assuming all boxes sell out, then we bring in £320,000, Hull £1.12m and Arsenal £6m. You can see right there the massive discrepancy in additional revenues.

Naming rights for a new stadium. Additional millions per year.

Boosts the image of the club, makes us look big time, ends the perception of 'plucky Everton with their dilapidated stadium'.

Potentially makes us more attractive to a would be buyer.

Boosting the additional revenues will hugely help us with Financial Fair Play rules, and ensure we don't get left behind when the likes of Spurs and West Ham move into their new stadiums in the next 5 to 7 years.

I realise a lot of people don't think this will happen and have major doubts and misgivings, but let's not kid ourselves - a new stadium IF DONE PROPERLY would transform the club, possibly into a major power once again.

They had outside toilets at Standard Liege's ground when we played there, funnily enough!lol
I didn't go to Liege but wasn't Nuremburg a bit like that? Bearing in mind I was bladdered, but when you came down from the stand into the concourse, it was basically 'outside' albeit you were still inside the stadium turnstiles
