It's meant to look like a single tier. A single blue/wall. They need to hide that divide they opted for for safe standing allowance as much as possible. This was from the VR stuff;

Mentioned it after the last game there that it would look great with all the fan made flags draped over there. The 1878s are producing loads of new ones and they'd hide the wall and make it all feel as one large tier.

They moved away from that, to allow the divide for safe standing but with fans it, it'll look much more impressive if it looks like a single wall, rather than tiered. Like so;

Like you said they've went completely away from that design, inclusive of adding disability seating at the front, not the corners / middle.

Loved the Plaza great space their for all sorts. didn't have time for a pizza though. Everton way is coming along nicely. nice that you can drink in the plaza like a massive fan zone and they give you the hard plastic cups. boss. When the western terrace open that will be great to sit with a pint.

Tested the back row of all stands just great views everywhere. The seats look like they can easily clip off a bar so hopefully can be easily replaced with white ones for some branding. needs some more colour for all the concrete would agree.

Inside the bowl in the area of the upper north-west corner there was a constant machine like humming noises which was annoying not sure what that was? Chilli loaded fries were nice, small portion thought, dough-nut fresh like Krispy kreme. looking forward to trying other food options when the season starts.

South Upper bar view was as breath taking as I expected, love it.

Coffee was nice as proper bean to cup machines, gripe there is no auto milk into the coffees for a fake latte, cappuccino vibe. after being given the coffee from the window facing side of the south upper bar was then sent on a wild-goose chase to find milk sachets on random tablets the other side of the bar and first two tablets had ran out. Pespi was also flat, that should be a quick fix though. Can't wait for the new season now!

He has a really good video on his channel from the Tarkowski derby, he was doing a VLog from outside the ground and was walking down Goodison Road when the equaliser went it. He managed to sneak in to the ground while the VAR review was going on. Seems a decent fella for a Wet Spam fan.

I agree. I don't like how it visually looks with the divide and I don't like how it will prevent the whole stand being as one stood up when needed.

If safe standing was at the back half then no divide would have been needed. Plus at times such as when the team were pushing for an equaliser you get the front rows standing leading to everyone behind the goal standing then which helps so much pushing the team on.

They took our water from us before entering the plaza. Anyone know if this was just for test events or it will be ongoing? Never had a problem getting bottles of water into Goodison after a quick bag check.
