New kit supplier for next season; Castore

It's just needless, self perpetuating, self harm.

A kit by a manufacturer with a terrible reputation means fewer kits/ training gear sold and a reduced contract value next time around owing to poor sales figures.

As others have said, it's just death by a 1000 cuts at present
I’ve never known such a universally-derided kit manufacturer as Castore has become. This deal really is rubbing it in the face of the fans.

I’d like to see a fan-made alternative - just a t-shirt, nothing fancy, expensive or copyright-infringing - with profit going to charity, maybe even EitC. Get that outselling the main kit and maybe the club would see sense.

How about getting shirt sponsorship from the dog food company WINALOT

The way through this is to not buy the kits for a year. Then there would be no option but to terminate the deal.

I wonder who on the commercial team approved this shambles.

personally, don't see any issue with this. yes they've messed up this seasons Villa shirts and they've got time to sort this out ready for next season, but i prefer Castore kits to Hummel (i'm not a fan of the chevron things going down the sleeves), I've got Castore clothes for when i go to the gym / go for a run etc and they're great.

We’re probably finding out now as the stadium seats are going in and we’ll be getting a big white pair of wings adorning the East Stand 👌

Yeah, standard over-reaction. How many years have they produced kits without this issue, then it comes up one season and everyone wets the bed as if they're just going to produce our shirts next year from the same material without making any changes. Ppl just like to moan and have a pop about stuff for no reason.

what are you talking about.
these kits are crap, literally this weekend Villa had a spat with the manufacturers.
The Ireland kits they make rip easily
other clubs have dropped them due to supply issues
their logo looks like clip art.
They just seem like a sunday league kit maker.
It's indicative of how the club is run.
Plenty to have a pop about.

The alternative is to sit there, watch everton make poor decision after poor decision and say nothing. Look where that's gotten us.
