New Kit

I think you're trying to assert your aesthetic opinion as fact here, based on marketing success. Its just your opinion. My opinion is that Nike mainly make god awful stuff, but somehow ... based on weight if marketing, which the cystomer pays for, ... are popular. The spurs kits have been specially dreadful - more juvenile in style than elegant to my eyes.

There - our opinions differ. The ones you deride - from the 80s are some of my favourite kits of all time ... all thIs when Nike were still stuck in the US and hadn't noticed football yet nor the potential to charge £80 for an ununspired template t-shirt that cost them less than a fiver to make in a sweat shop - which most of the manufacturers do, but Nike have perfected their art by only paying one designer to come up with a couple of ideas that'll do many teams for a season.

I suspect that if Admiral spent Nike's advertising budget on popularity then you'd find you love their stuff too because lots of other people would too.

Nope.

Mad what’s going on here @BullensRoad lol

Would I ever dream of going out in public wearing anything Hummel? No. It’s a brand thing, the designs aren’t as nice.

But would I be seen wearing Everton items? Yeah cause I’m a blue and I’m proud to show everyone that. Don’t think my kids gonna turn round and go “Dad I don’t want this Everton kit, it’s Hummel”, they’re gonna be buzzing because it’s an Everton kit or whatever.

There’s a difference between every day casual clothing and sports merchandise. The majority won’t give a toss who makes the clothing providing its Everton, which is why you see so much Source Lab and Score draw items knocking round whenever you’re in town.

Who ever gives us the most dough, I’m down for. Personally, I’d much rather have the effort Hummel give, than the generic ident-a-kit that Nike roll out for their non “elite” clubs.

Yea boys Hummel gave us a bit more money

I wish we would get more organized with the new gear and have the new gear ready for sale for the last home game of the season. You got a crowd of 35000 potential customers passing the door of the shop going to the game, plenty of them looking to spend the cash in the store, but instead all there is for them is the left overs from the previous seasons gear.

Barney, this is me.

I don't wear an everton football shirt unless I'm playing 5 a side. But I love to show I'm a blue. Starts a lot of conversation with rival fans down here in dorset.

This is my fav Everton casual T, worn consistently for the last 11-12 years. Originally modelled by one Jack Rodwell.

The big brands do have the unlimited budgets in marketing, but that's irrelevant because they design the best modern kits.

Didn't we have people lining down the street during our first kit launch with Nike?

No one apart from the people on here wants a kit that looks like it was dragged from the 80's.

Every kit they've done for spurs for example looks class and I hate to say it but the kits they've made for them have been smart.

Have a word with yourself no one cares about a traditional mark on a kit, if it's made from the likes of Hummel Umbro or admiral it looks awful.
Take your own advice and pull your head out, you’re clearly blinded by marketing over design and personal pride. I’ve got shirts by Le Coq that still look good and comfortably fit 10 years on from when they were released, and they made some good ones, yet the Nike ones in the same size from a couple of years later barely fit
