New Kit

When's Hummel or Umbro been a cool brand? I just think people like their shirt designs, which haven't really seen any complaints so far.

Hummel is definitely seen as a "cooler" brand than Umbro, which is generally seen as more standard average brand

Hummel has done things and used designs that people would have been complaining about if Umbro did it, but because it's Hummel it gets praised

The majority of those Umbro kits not only looked nice but they actually tried doing interesting and different things with the designs, especially with the away kit like when they did that wacky dark green one (the one Lukaku got the hat trick against Southampton in)

Yeah, once in a while they had a bad one (like the home kit that looked like a training top in Koeman's second season) but in general they made some nice kits and all you ever heard was "Umbro are so boring" "Umbro kits look so bad" "We need to get Hummel, they're so much better"

I've just never seen that jump in quality from Umbro to Hummel

Hummel's kits are fine, but that's it IMO, and I personally liked the Umbro ones more

Mad what’s going on here @BullensRoad lol

Would I ever dream of going out in public wearing anything Hummel? No. It’s a brand thing, the designs aren’t as nice.

But would I be seen wearing Everton items? Yeah cause I’m a blue and I’m proud to show everyone that. Don’t think my kids gonna turn round and go “Dad I don’t want this Everton kit, it’s Hummel”, they’re gonna be buzzing because it’s an Everton kit or whatever.

There’s a difference between every day casual clothing and sports merchandise. The majority won’t give a toss who makes the clothing providing its Everton, which is why you see so much Source Lab and Score draw items knocking round whenever you’re in town.

Who ever gives us the most dough, I’m down for. Personally, I’d much rather have the effort Hummel give, than the generic ident-a-kit that Nike roll out for their non “elite” clubs.
Errr this is too considered a post mate please delete

We need a stoney X lacrosse collab for the kit next year

Go out with a bang (Goodison and the league)

So you're saying I won't find anyone complaining about the Hummel kits the same way some people complained about the Umbro kits?

I've said my bit and I'm happy with what I said, and I'm leaving it at that

As usual you've come into a thread I've posted in, picked a minor part of my original post, and are now dragging it out into a boring argument

All you seem to do is follow me around into every thread looking to instigate something

I'm ending this "debate" here. Bother somebody else

You don't have to cry off when someone asks you to prove your statements.

TBF I won't be going out in Everton-branded apparel regardless of whether it's made by Hummel, Nike, Louis Vuitton or George by Asda. I thought that was mostly for little kids who want to be seen in the latest replica shirts with their hero's name on the back. We used to go to Birkenhead market to get the cheap letters and numbers added. I remember getting KANCHELSKIS 17 on mine.

I get wearing the old shirts from our glory years - plenty of websites where you can still get high quality knockoff versions of them which look decent if you're going to the game and want that retro look.

I generally don't wear clothing that has a brand's logo on it.

I'm not crying off

If you've got the time to trawl through hundreds of posts, then feel free. I'm not going to do that. You're only demanding it to be annoying

You are following me around different threads trying to start up arguments. I don't know why, but you are. Seems a strange way to live a life but I guess you're going to do it regardless

My original post didn't quote you, it had nothing to do with you, and it didn't target a particular argument that you'd made prior in the thread

It didn't even necessarily disagree with what you've said elsewhere, as I don't hate the Hummel kits

All I said was that I think Hummel's kits are okay, but I don't like them as much as others do, and that I preferred the Umbro ones

That's it. That's not a controversial opinion (or at least it shouldn't be). That's not something that should lead to an argument. It's an opinion. I even stated multiple times that it was an OPINION

But now we've had a multiple post exchange because you nit-picked one particular part of a longer post I made, dragging us to this point

It's exhausting mate. Just leave me alone

I haven't bought one of the shirts in years. They'd all look rubbish on me anyway as I hardly have the physique that lends itself to looking good in something like that. I've got a collection of old ones and I can cycle through those on match day

Yeah it's a bit weird isn't it? I'm convinced Nymz wakes up every morning with a quota on how many people he needs to antagonise throughout the day in the most passive-aggressive way possible lol

He knows what he's doing and sadly I've taken the bait this morning, but he's shown himself up for what he is today at least

Anyway, I'll close by getting us back on topic before warnings etc head my way

Umbro kits were boss ;)
