1892 - I think not.....

for one season, like Arsenal when they left Highbury i wouldn't be against it.
I wouldn't be against amber socks for one season either assuming we did a more traditional simple royal blue shirt, round white collar and white shorts.
Now we’re talking. Loved the use of amber away socks with the traditional home shirt and white shorts in the late 60’s (69/70?) plainer/simpler kit the better for me.
Seen the pics with Ball and Alan Whittle sporting the amber socks and always thought it looked smart.
Also the badge/ can we not just have the cursive EFC logo for our last Goodison season.
I guess I’m feeling nostalgic today.

I'm all for the nostalgia for one season mate.
I'm sure, at least on the home kit Hummel and Stake could accept a muted presents on our shirt.

couldn't agree more on the Nostalgia front. I think we are more likely to get a blue shirt with Leitch's lattice work woven into the fabric subtly... we dont do bold too much as people question the color of the sash for example.....

Hummel make great kits.

Will never buyva shirt while we're advertising gambling though.
Why what’s wrong with having a bet ? If people don’t have self control they don’t have self control … if people are easily addicted then that’s for them to address .. why does a betting firm advertising get the soft touches so wound up … shall we ban technology sponsors as kids might get addicted to Sony ps5 etc … this is all what’s wrong with society … others who can’t control themselves telling those who can how to live their life … gambling can be great craic and also lucrative for some

1. There's a world of difference between allowing people to bet and advertising it. I'm against the advertising which is EVERYWHERE today.
2. I more than disagree with your assertion that people should exercise self control therefore advertising is harmless. If you waft a fag under the nose of somebody struggling to give up smoking you are a worse person than they are, working against somebody who is trying to better themselves and regain control. If you do this for your own personal financial gain you are simply evil. That's what gambling advertising is - its evil. Truth is the bookies always win, the punters on the whole, unless they are trained skillfull mathematicians, always lose - its a mugs game.
3. Yes kids can get addicted to ps games. That's why we have responsible adults who should control their behaviour until kids grow enough to understand the importance of self control. Those who aren't taught it young are more than likely to get addicted to things layer in life and are thus easily exploited by the ad men.

Gamble all you like. I'm not campaigning against you handing cash to a big organisation that collects millions each month, I just object to the advertising - on behalf of the weak minded. Should we not protect the weak?
