Everton's push to make their kits available in sports stores and airports across the UK has led to a sharp rise in sales of this season's shirts.

The Blues and retail partner Fanatics agreed a deal last year to make all of three kits available in selected JD Sports stores around the country as well as; Liverpool John Lennon airport, Manchester and Gatwick.

Now they have seen a sharp rise in sales of each of Umbro kits for the 2016/17 season in comparison to the same point last year.

The third kit is up 53% from the 2015/16 season, whilst home kit sales are up by 17% and the away kit by 40%.

Chris Bailes, Head of Account Management at Fanatics, said: “We are obviously delighted with how well the kits have sold so far this season, it’s great to see the hard work between Everton, Umbro and Fanatics pay-off and we are looking forward to them continuing to sell well.

“Hopefully we’ll also be able to see some of the fashion ranges selling just as well over the duration of the season as well a number of other projects we are currently working on.”

Each of the shirt designs this term incorporate a tribute to Goodison Park. The co-ordinates of the stadium can be found in the back of the neck of each of the shirts alongside a motif of the Archibald Leitch architecture that the ‘Old Lady’ is famous for.

Skipper Phil Jagielka, said: “I really like all of the kits this season; the home kit is always my favourite as there is no better feeling than pulling on that Royal Blue shirt but I especially like the nod to the stadium and its history on each of the kits.

“It’s a great touch because nothing compares to playing at Goodison Park in front of all of our passionate fans.”

Kits sold in actual shops sell more shocker!

Not a fan of the yellow one, it's a template, same as Derby's. Some people are clearly easily pleased. The black one could've been boss with a sash on it, a node to the black watch. Again, a trick missed by Umbro. And why do all these kits have this retarded Umbro writing on the sleeves, ruins every kit.

I think the kit in full on the field looks nice.
I also think we need to move on from Umbro when the contract expires. I'd like a cool company like Kappa, or something different to most other clubs.

I like the look of the yellow one, but it looked terrible on me, plus the sponsor should be in blue, not white. I think the black one is possibly the best kit this year.
