New manager

Italian, Spanish & Portuguese managers have been the most successful in recent times amongst the top five leagues in Europe. There's only really been Klopp, Tuchel & Nagelsmann from a German perspective. France haven't really produced any decent managers recently either with the exception of Zidane (albeit all at Madrid) and Galtier. Wenger and Deschamps if you wanted to go further back. Slot the pick of the Dutch as things stand.

Interestingly enough - we've already tried the first three.

Interesting thread but we are nowhere near sacking him IMO. No media noise or pressure, no massive crowd unrest apart from the usual final whistle booing, not in the bottom 3 and had 3 good results prior to yesterday.

He should be sacked immediately, but I think we are trying to get to the end of the season if possible and then appoint. Obviously the next few games could change things !

You're spot on. I'm livid after turning talkshte on and listening to Tony Bellew blow smoke up Dyche's Arsenal. The lousy interviewer ( I think it was Rory Jennings) expressing much amazement that any Everton fans were critical of Dyche. Bellew just went on to eulogise about Dyche. It seems we're being blanked.

It reminds me of the headlock time when the media were being fed certain stories by the club. These people seem to be still working at the club making sure everything is neat and tidy. I'm less sure TFG will believe everything is hunky dory. They'll have their own eyes and ears.

Is he even doing that tho, i was open to him doing that but he is not doing the minimum standard here. Not saying we need to go full out attacking but jesus we dont even do the simple things. Look at forest was not anything special, we have the team not passing with any real intent no movement becuase the mabager wants the players locked into a position. Fullbacks who dont even try and attack to whip a ball in.
That’s totally wrong. Myko had a number of opportunities against Forest and F’ed them all. I know he is rigid in his system but it’s because the squad is rubbish. Im not saying Dyche is great, Im saying there is no point spanking money on someone that still isnt going to get anything more out the players. Long term we need to right the ship financially then get someone better in.

tony bellew bellend

but yr all the media and stuff think dyche dyche is god and we should stick with him

ok let’s keep dyche for these 🙄

can’t wait for a new manager

his first quote

“what’s long ball?”

The squad is midtable he is just an unimaginative manager who chooses his favorites and doesn't have any tactics beyond parking the bus he doesn't actually tru to set up players tp fit their strengths. A decent inventive manager could get results
Hahaha tell me how he only plays his “favourites”, he plays the whole squad cos it’s so small. He could potentially bring in some youth squad but the good ones are on load and we he is fighting to keep us in the league. The point is to consolidate right now and save money. Our players are the main problem not him.

He's the problem we actually have decent players on the bench, dixon was the best player against spurs and never had another opportunity to play again , he's not good at this whole managerial thing especially winning games and he has certain players that are undroppable right now like doucoure and Harrison who have lackluster but you continue to worship your ginger savior

“save money”

they don’t need to save money

if they keep this clown they’re potentially losing millions

Bellew has done this sort of stuff before.

He was an avid Kenwright defender and seems to have become a de facto mouthpiece for the club.

Its more a statement of modern football for me rather than Everton in general.

If we start to push for the top 4 all the "big" clubs will start eyeing our players and the media will start putting out stories about players deserving moves etc etc.

Villa will be the next ones. Had a good year, lets start taking their players and put them in our reserves etc.

The game has changed. Modern football is rancid.

You raise some good points, the big teams in the past in the eighties/ nineties had 20 / 22 players in their squads, if that nowadays it's 30 odd, Sky tv has really killed football as we knew it.
