New manager

Just mentioned him on another thread but what were the circumstances of Fonseca leaving Roma in 2021? Bad terms or was it amicable?

He's long been linked to a premier league job and managed all of Porto, Donetsk, Roma, Lille and AC Milan in last decade so I'd say from experienced options he's probably the most logical in keeping team up and then improving with more backing in future seasons.

A fraud that is sacked after mere months in Italy.

He's the problem we actually have decent players on the bench, dixon was the best player against spurs and never had another opportunity to play again , he's not good at this whole managerial thing especially winning games and he has certain players that are undroppable right now like doucoure and Harrison who have lackluster but you continue to worship your ginger savior
Hahaha “my ginger saviour”! Hahahaha. Genius. No mate, you’re confused. What Ive said a number of times is that he is rubbish but is better than spanking a ton of money to fire and find a replacement who will be equally rubbish when our financial issues are a larger problem than our position in the table. If he keeps us up (which he will) then he has done his job. If you think spanking money and getting a new manager (by the way who?? Southgate? Moyes?) then your a doughnut.

Knowing everton even though we have new owners through some bureaucratic protocol inherent in the acquisition of the club the friedkins who had allegri lined up are now forced to honor the last wishes of Bill Kenwright and go with his beloved managerial choice, welcome back roberto sigh

I threw up a little when I read that. So you get a knighthood nowadays for missing a penalty and then being the first of the runner ups in tournaments they arguably should have won.

Welcome home Davey

And what exactly has Moyes done to warrant being awarded an OBE?!
Is this because he won that jarg European cup while he was still managing West Ham? 😳

There's very few managers who are willing to come in Mid-Season, wholl take this project on.

So before I get the "anyone is better than Dyche" shouts.

Who do you actually think will come in? Who do you even want?

Ride it out until May, our best option, or we'll end up with another sacking on the books come June.

The main two i would want:

McKenna: Not leaving until Ipswich finish the season.

Allegri: Putting it out there he wants a job end of the season.

Not seeing much else exciting aside from Farioli at Ajax and the Spaniard at Bournemouth.

Iraola ship has sailed.
Feels as though he's got total control over signings and what not (at least final say).
Total comfort, we're a bigger club than Bournemouth, but our job is far less direcablw in my opinion.

We're going to have to take on board an unemployed manager too. Can't see someone like Allegri jumping at job, and if he did, is it not a recipe for disaster? Surely jumps at first big job?

Edit: not me tearing your opinions apart, just not sure who we can actually get!!

I don't want a Moyes return but it may be that's the most practical option and a straightforward appointment to make.

Our situation is worsening and we need to look first and foremost at staying up. I'd rather him at the helm than Potter.

If there are other feasible options out there, particularly if they could bridge staying up with beginning a new and progressive chapter, then great.

I would have liked Conceicao, so-so on Fonseca. It isn't a great time of year to be looking for a new manager and many will prefer to remain where they are and/or wait until the close season.

But we need change without delay. There is no obvious option that stands out to everyone.

The reasons Ive mentioned the 3 are:

Allegri leaking that he wanted a premier league job after leaving Juve the first time. Plus of course the Italian factor and TFG going for a big name.

Iraola because we will have the stadium and a chance of a rebuild at a club far larger than the one he is with. If he stayed where he is for a couple of seasons he'd earn less than at one with us.

McKenna seems primed for a move at the end of the season. Achieved success in league one and the championship while rebuilding each summer. His top players will probably be sold end of the season and perhaps he would like to make a bigger name for himself.
