New manager

Surprisingly there are a slew of decent managers that are available right now and maybe a couple we could snag if we were willing to wait a couple weeks with Baines in place.

From Wiki: 'As a young coach, Potter studied the training methods of Roberto Martínez at Swansea and became inspired by his possession-based approach, along with the "holistic" training principles he observed during his travels to Spain'.

At Ostersunds, those 'holistic' training methods included getting the players to do amateur dramatics. I've always joked that the first thing he'd do here is get the players to put on a performance of Romeo and Juliet at the hub, for disadvantaged children. Thing is, back then I knew we had Tom Davies to play Juliet and Andre Gomes to play Romeo...

WHO'S GOING TO PLAY THE ROLES NOW?????

With his general balance and coordination would be unwise to put Doucoure on a balcony.

I think he might be the most overrated manager in the country. Done well in Sweden, done about par at Swansea, had one good season at Brighton, the rest nothing out of the ordinary, failed at Chelsea.
Yeah true, when you put it like that we most probably haven't missed out. The only thing that remains is Dyche HAS to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Not too sure mate that it isn't similar to what Potter liked to do, Brighton under him used to rank about 5th in pressing - usually in the opponents half, and whilst they didn't score many they had crazy high xpg and good chance creation stats - unfortunately for them they had Maupay as there top striker and no real natural finishers either.

Agreed, but they were also v possession heavy and slow possession at times

I like Potter btw, I'm just not sure he suits what we've said we want our identity to be

Im gutted its monday afternoon and he's not gone. Dont even care at the moment who replaces him. What are we losing out on? Going in to games hoping for a 0-0? I'll take our chances.

The season stats are atrocious. His Last season at Burnley levels. His comments after Bournemouth were scary. He sounded clueless.

The only issue I have with Potter is his win rate as a manager is average to put it mildly
