New manager

Moyes is the comfort blanket for Kenwright’s children .

Doubtful, i had zero time for kenwright but i am a moyes fan and it constantly shocks me how some everton fans react to moyes like hes some perpetually relegation fighting prehistoric Allardyce clone.

If i was to tell you that there was a manager who took over multiple clubs battling relegation, kept them up, built them up to be consistent challenging for European football, won a European cup with a club that hasnt won a trophy in 70 years a few years ago, is available on a free and knows the club.

Everyone would agree its perfect for what we need. Then you hear its moyes and everyone starts crying about how "he stole one of our players" and "he said mean things about us when he left" its a proper small club mentality. Like one of those league one sides that bang drums all game or scream "your s**t ahhhhhhh!" when goalkeepers take a kick.

People have been brain washed in to thinking we have to have some European manager who just playes the same way as everyone else in the bottom half of the league.

You know who plays like moyes everton used to? Forest and their joint second in the league.

I wouldn’t say no to Moyes tbh.

I know he says he doesn’t want another relegation battle, but what are his realistic options?
The ‘top 6’ clubs plus Newcastle, Villa and West Ham wouldn’t have him, and if any of the other 11 are comfortable in mid table then they wouldn’t be sacking their manager.
Moyes doesn’t see Everton as a relegation battler. We shouldn’t either. The squad is better than it is showing.

The potential of the club is clear - it should be battling for best of the rest status due to its size, fanbase and historical achievements.

Moyes is the one manager we have had over the last few decades who I believe, had he been here at the right time, would have had us right up there at the very top. If anything, he is a better manager now and would lay great foundations for success.

I just hope whoever is picking the next manager isn’t swayed by trends and going for some flash in the pan when a genuinely excellent manager with an affinity for the club is available.

Relegated Sunderland, sacked after a few months in sociedad, took the champions to 7th.
For, you know, balance

Potter would wet his pants at Everton. Be in tears at the press conference.

Moyes? Like trying a Tyrannosaurus rex in dyche for a diplodocus called Moyes.
Potter nearly threw his hand in at Brighton when the fans booed them at half time ha.

Imagine him here.

They'd find him in the broom cupboard, crying uncontrollably, a complete withered husk of a man.
