Old Blue 2
Player Valuation: £35m
Having just joined this forum, afew words of introduction. Have been on TEF for several months as 'Old Blue'.
As my user name shows, I'm no spring chicken. My dad took me to see Everton around 1956, and I've been a Blue ever since. Seen the good times and the bads times. Was in Gwladys Street to see Vernon score a hat trick against Fulham to climch the Championship in '62-63. Was at Wembley in '66. On Gwladys Street again all season in 69-70 seeing that superb team lift the title again. At Wembley again '84, but ([Poor language removed]!) also in '86.
Moved to Norwich in 1987 with my day job, and am still down here.
Favourite player of all time for me? Andy Gray. Absolute powerhouse in driving the team on and scoring vital goals.
Not too concerned with this season's start - I believe the team can advance from last season and hopefully do even better.
Hobbies? Well, as an 18 year-old in 1969 I started playing in bands in the city centre. Did the long hair, heavy rock and big Marshall stack thing. Later moved on to the cabaret circuit supporting TV artists. Still gigging today in a blues band. Other interest is World War 2 aviation (the 'other' side) - I won't bore you with the details.
So there it is, a precis of me. Better mention I've been married for 40 (yes, forty!) years to my 'rock chick', and have two children and two grandchildren.
