I've implemented a revision of the reputation system. Rather than points/comments, you can now Thumb your fellow posters. (Anyone who refers to the system as a Like system will be infracted. It's Thumb FFS)

It's currently available to Gold, Silver and Bronze users as we trial it and iron out kinks.

Moderators to decide via vote if it stays, or goes.

defo the thumbs are easy the old rep took more thought!!

keep the old rep D/D and just let everyone (i.e non members) see who leaves it! that way there will be a lot less snidyness !!

24 hours into Thumbworld - feedback: I'm struck most of all by the feel it gives posts/threads. It's fair to say most posts go un-thumbed. Instead there's usually a big fat '0' next to posts. I dont know if I'm alone in this, but it gives the impression that posts are worthless. It sort of colours your perception of the content of posts and has the unfortunate effect of prodding you to think it might be better not to read it. I do think that's an unwanted by-product of this change.
