New size Coke bottles

That PH number means it ISN'T battery acid though, so your argument is null and void

Coke and Battery Acid are not the same thing

Now don't get me wrong, if they change that PH Number then I'll be all onboard with the banning of Coke, but I don't see that happening

Are you afraid that one of these cans of Coke might accidentally end up with the wrong PH content and kill you? I think you'll be alright

it's vile stuff, but i'm still hopelessly addicted to it. I only drink ice-cold from the glass bottle (or at a push, a can). Probably average about two or three litres a week. It seems to give me a sugar rush of energy which nothing else does (save for a Yorkshire Tea, which I take with only a pinch of sugar, so that must be a caffeine rush). Doesn't have to be coca-cola: Pepsi, Fritz, Afri and Club also do the job.

Got nothing on this, tho' (she's long since thankfully kicked the habit, incidentally she's the daughter of The Guardian's chief, so much respect for being honest about this):

Used to drink a lot more when I worked in the kitchens. Needed the fluid/caffiene to keep going. Was going thru at least a 2ltr per shift.
Cut down a lot recently and started buying the 500ml bottles so I don't drink a full can just because it's open. Probably drinking 500ml every couple of days.

Oh and more related to the thread title, over here they started making boxes of 20 cans and charging the same price as the 24 boxes and hoping nobody would notice. Waiting for the 12 packs to shrink soon.

They do have to coat plastic bottles with Fluorine (which is nasty in itself), to prevent it dissolving during its brief shelf-life though lids

1 pH number isn't exactly far away though, it's still awfully high for any product you might consume.

It's full of disgusting stuff, I never touch it. Diet Coke is far worse as well with all of that aspartame in it - that stuff almost certainly causes depression.

Bad stuff lads, costs more than fruit juice and there must be a fruit juice for all of us out there.

EDIT: Yes, I'm aware that fruit juice, particularly that from citrus fruits, is acidic. Even that stuff should be taken in moderation. Coke though, I wouldn't touch it even in moderation.

There's nothing inherently wrong with fizzy drinks or processed foods. The problem is when you eat or drink too much of them. Having a Coke now and then is hardly going to cause you that much damage

It's all about being careful

People who go mad talking about how bad Coke is for you are probably the same people who like to sit at home and drink a bottle of Proseco without a second thought. It's because the poor enjoy Coke you see, so it should be denigrated and frowned upon. They're idiots and will believe anything. We'll tell them they're drinking Battery Acid and that Dairylea is one molecule away from being plastic. That'll get him behaving how we want em to!

Look, if you drink to much of the stuff and it doesn't fit in your stomach, it can settle in your esophagus..

Your stomach has a lining that protects it, to a point. Your esophagus doesn't. Coke can dissolve the esophagus..

That equals, not good. Really not good.
