Is was better back in 1891 - I used to sit on the ranch with Mary and share a bottle.
We'd be so stoned that we'd usually forget where our mouths were and end up using rusty horseshoes as smiles, then we'd run home and laugh so much that we'd pee in each other's pockets.
1 pH number isn't exactly far away though, it's still awfully high for any product you might consume.
It's full of disgusting stuff, I never touch it. Diet Coke is far worse as well with all of that aspartame in it - that stuff almost certainly causes depression.
Bad stuff lads, costs more than fruit juice and there must be a fruit juice for all of us out there.
EDIT: Yes, I'm aware that fruit juice, particularly that from citrus fruits, is acidic. Even that stuff should be taken in moderation. Coke though, I wouldn't touch it even in moderation.
Lagers and beers tend to be around 4-4.5! where as regular coke comes in around 1.5-2. Even acidic juice like orange is only about 3.5-4..To be fair mate, so is some lager these days.

Fluorine
Fluoride is far from safe.. Great conspiracies on this one! HahaFluorine is used to treat some bottles to create a barrier. It bonds with the bottle extremely strongly, so won't leak into the contents. That's the point of using it as a treatment. That said, I couldn't see anything stating it was used on drinking bottles.
Fluoride could be added to the water that is used in soda. It's safe.
