The lad had a chance and didn't do too well, i'm really not seeing the issue with leaving him out of the squad. Vellios and Gueye have both had long stretches out of the first team, the reality is that you can only have so many players on the bench and every member of the full squad has to be given a shot.

If his confidence is 'destroyed' from not being on the bench then i'd be a bit worried tbh.
