Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Why would a sheikh or whatever it is not look at us with the new stadium and plough their money there. All the money in the world won't make Newcastle a big club who challenges for anything. Why not buy a sleeping giant and change the future?

Ancelotti or Steve Bruce. Jesus wept
we have plenty sufficient backing to achieve what we need. Once the stadium is completed the value of the club will be in excess of 1B

True but look at Spurs and their issues with their new stadium. A new stadium doesn't suddenly guarantee trophies. The real investment needs to be in the squad. The right moves have started to be made which eases my pessimism but this is a 10/15 year turning ship.

Also it's yet to be proven if they will splash mega dosh as well. I'd expect significant investment but not enough to make a serious dent to the top end

The difference with them is that they already have the stadium and training ground. All investment there will be on the players/staff. I don't think they will end up being top 4 off the back of it because 6/7 other cubs already have enough money to hold their own against it.

Their training ground is really poor and needs investment. Their ground is pretty shabby as well. If the Saudi's are serious they will look to develop or ultimately build a new ground

Their training ground is crap apparently. But get the point re the ground.

We are talking about Man City arab levels of investment regarding Newcastle.

Are we? Who's that according too? What I'm seeng thus far are a consortium who are unprepared to spend £340m to acquire the club in the first instance, and have spent months refusing to pay that figure. Forgive me for thinking they' won't be plunging billions into transfers.

No chance of a new stadium. Why would they? Is their training ground that bad? Looked ok in GOAL..... (I'm joking)
