Tbh the bookies have no idea and in it's absence are just reacting to speculation and betting patterns, it doesn't reflect the reality.

Newcastle are likely to make an approach to test his intentions which are equally likely to be met with a polite negative after a millisecond or two of careful consideration.

The market is really open, even Steve Bruce, likely to be a highly unpopular choice, is being mentioned. Avram Grant is also known to have been approached about a role, although not necessarily coach/manager.

A best price of 6/1 for the favourite tells you all you need to know about just how clueless the bookmakers are on this. Noone has anything solid to go on.
