Newcastle are a club who did very well from the early Premier League years due to having a great team that played attractive football. There'll be plenty of people in my age bracket who adopted them as their second team or just straight up their first team based off that period

However, they aren't attracting those kinds of fans any more due to how badly Ashley has run them

For a period there I'd genuinely say they were a rather big club, but as this Ashley debacle continues they'll just get smaller and smaller

He clearly wants to cash in and go and buy Rangers, but until he gets the deal he wants he's going to stay atop of that club festering

I know people on here don't like the Mags, but really as football supporters we should all be united in not wanting snakes like Ashley in the sport we love. We're only one bad sale away getting someone just like him. People of his ilk need to be ran out of the game. I actually back the Newcastle supporters on this issue and I genuinely hope they follow their threats through and do not renew their season tickets and do not purchase any club merch. See him off Geordies, get this scum bag out of our sport!

Hope he takes them all the way to the national league tbh. Have a serious dislike for Newcastle. Only worsened by them singinging about 'breaking Mikel Arteta's leg', outside St James Park, after the injury he sustained playing them.

he would have to use what he has got plus a few fringe players from some of the huge clubs hes worked with.

I reckon hed do very well at a second rate club on a budget personally.

I think you can dislike Newcastle but still also realise that the likes of Mike Ashley are a greater evil, and that if they can drive him off it's a good thing for football at large
