I can answer that. They took so long because there was the absence of the funds available so the process couldnt continue. They didn't inform the fans as they will have been under NDA.

The evidence is very clear, when a takeover takes longer than acouple of days to complete, it isn't as it seems. Forget weeks longer, this tooks months longer. It's not the PL's fault these geordie idiots couldn't read between the lines.

Hearing this stuff come out about the bigger teams somehow having an influence in blocking the deal. Football is so transparent nowadays that they don't even try to hide it anymore. Big clubs protecting their interests, the less competition the better.

Personally I'm looking forward to the full Americanisation of football for the big clubs. At least when the Liverpool Reds relocate to Moscow they'll have an excuse for not going the game.
