Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

"52,000 is enough to fill St James Park, but you double, triple or even quadruple the size of that stadium and we will fill it". lol

Absolutely the saddest and most pathetic thing I’ve ever read that article. What an utterly warped collection of people. Why does a football club have to be described by some Shakespearean soliloquy? Absolute pondlife.

Do you know how Kendalls drink problem manifested itself? I don't,did Gary Speed leave because he could smell drink on his breath? or was there more to it?
Anyway if you think Barton will get a top job off the back of a decent showing at the mighty Fleetwood...next you'll be telling us that if he got Blackburn Rovers promoted and an FA Cup win and a CL place, you still wouldn't want him.

It's a wonder nobody has thought to build a 200,000 seater stadium that will sell out every week in a city of 268,000, isn't it?

It's what you do with the team that counts, remember our greatest ever manager.
“Never once did he come out and say, despite all the abuse and threats, that Howard was battling with a drink problem. I kept prompting him that this was finally the time to put the record straight. He wouldn’t, but I have because his memory doesn’t deserve to be tarnished in any way and, in any case, most people in the game knew of Howard’s over-indulgence in alcohol.
“So for those who abused Speedo, and anyone still mystified by his determination to leave, here it is – he left because he lost respect for his manager and found it hard to continue playing under him.”

Would you have had a problem with Kendall because of his off field issues?
Honestly, this shows how Howard fell from the giant that we all love and remember to a manager who couldn't perform to his own high standards when Speed left. His problems eventually rendered him not the right man for the job regardless that the majority of us would have him as our greatest manager. But to come back on topic, if you don't have respect for the man in charge, things fall apart. I don't think Barton would command respect from the level of player that Everton should aspire to have, so he'd never come here.

Perfect fit for the horse punchers though.

Build it. Build it now. Affront the very gods themselves with the folly of it. More insane stadiums please.

Currently it's about as far ahead in the planning and development as Bramley-Moore Stadium, which is rather depressing.
