Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

We have missed the boat big time - the recent collapses of Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal and the arab royals sense opportunity to gatecrash the top 4/ CL Cash cow.

We're stuck with Walter Mitty and Kenwright whilst Newcastle and Leeds could be about to become the next Man City/PSG.

Depressing!
The annoying thing is we are ripe for this sort of takeover - City were bought to challenge and overtake Utd - with the Kopites doing well at present why wouldnt some wealthy awab man want to buy us, invest in the new stadium and surrounding Liverpool Waters project and have us as part of a North West blockbuster 4 clubs.

Our owners are fools for not courting interest from the Middle East.
I dont buy the stadium tbh, these guys have a bottomless pit of cash.

As a neutral buying a club and building a top class stadium on the docks as part of a massive regeneration project in a well known stadium whilst having the glamour of future title challenge derbies and local rivarlies with the Kopites and Manchester clubs for me makes more appeal than buying a club in the arse end of the country where no superstar wants to live.

I get Newcastle's appeal to an investor however if you want to make another Man City I would say only Everton, Villa and maybe Leeds would appeal to me.
Dont know why the Kopites are made up about this - just another club to overtake them with state backed oil money.
Reps of the Shiekh confirm the talks are genuine and ongoing.

There goes any last hope of playing european football/winning a trophy.

Good luck competing with 2x Man City's and the rest of the top 6.

I wonder if this may put a dent in Moshiri's ambitions? I imagine once the new ground is built he'll want to sell for a profit and get our of here ASAP
I agree however it wasnt a random twitter @roydo - as I said every outlet including the BBC, SSN & local N. East journo's reported talks.

As I said its hypocritical to laugh when heads would fall off all over the gaff if we were the club rumoured to be in talks with the Mansour family - you had some Blues photoshopping Messi in an EFC jersey based on a £1.5 billion net worth Moshiri buying a 49.9% stake in us!

Have you calmed down yet mate?

Benitez has been the luckiest manager of the last few years. He's been able to harness the fans hatred of Ashley to get away with performing sh1t. At any other club he'd have been forced out by the fans ages ago, just like at Chelsea, Napoli, and Real Madrid. Personally I'm happy we're no longer going to have to put up with his clown winging.

I can understand this.
Back to back top ten finishes with that squad is not poor performance at all:

The attitude of many pundits towards Fat Sam's spell at Everton.

Wednesday are idiots having such a low compo fee in Bruce's contract, then again they probably weren't banking on a Premier League team coming in for him

Not sure how it works but I always thought that the remaining value on a manager's contract dictated the fee? I imagine he's not on massive money at Wednesday so the compo would be relatively low.
