Rodgers has ruled himself out. I could see them going for Gerrard to keep their love affair with Big Red going, even though Big Red despise them now. Reckon he’d turn it down too though because he’s waiting for Klopp to leave. They’ll end up with Lampard or Favre, someone out of work.
 
Surely if Newcastle need a manager that can help them avoid relegation, whilst bringing in exciting signings and playing exciting football, there's only one man for the job?

By all accounts that isn't going to happen. There seem to be a number of reports/stories going about that they want to grow the club organically and do things in a proper way and they only have a budget of £100-150m over the next four windows, they see youth development as the way forward. Not sure the Newcastle fans would agree with that somehow.

Agreed. The most appropriate thing to do would be to sack him straight away and have Jones take charge on a temp basis.
Showing complete ineptitude already is great to see though.
The squad must be in pieces.
