Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

America is a backwards country where kids can own assault rifles. To suggest capital punishment is the reason for more crime/murders over there is bonkers.

Your mind has sadly been poisoned by your political "betters".

Anyway back on topic - Saudi Regime are scumbags.

FYI.

I think you`ll find that the whole prison system in the States, is actually a politically influenced, multi billion dollar business and that includes capital punishment.

And, that the whole thing system, is geared disproportionately to the incarceration of those from ethnic backgrounds and poor white backgrounds, who, due not being able to afford proper legal representation, end up with maximum jail sentences.

Prisoners = $$$$$

The Tories are scumbags but you probably support the NHS.
Yeah, but feel that bad management and poor decision making has let them down this season. New owners that aren't scum will sort them out though. Think the takover is currently in process and will be completed by end of 2024.

100%

The reason why capital punishment is so expensive in US is solely down to the process being a big dollar earner.

In practice it can be much cheaper to operate with no vested interests involved.

Which will never happen, as it runs in tandem with political parties.

Tough on crime = lock em up = throw away the key = wins votes and elections = lines the pocket of big business.

You mention Venable and Thompson in relation to the murder of Jamie Bulger.

From my ex job, I know people involved, on both the prosecution and the defence.

There`s a lot that isn`t public knowledge about the whole thing and as a result, the press made a lot up, to satisfy the baying crowd, which in turn sold lots of papers.

Revenge is a healthy and normal emotion of being human.

I suggest it is you who tries to eradicate normal functions in humans and trying to turn us into emotionless robots in the capitalist 9-5 rat race that is a bigger problem in the world.

Although from my perspective I dont see capital punishment from a revenge perspective - less dangerous & evil people in the world = a good thing.

Those centrist views shining through again I see

Unfortunately though thats the same with everything in society.

Ultimately the state (and society) should have the right to utilise capital punishment on people who are either unable or unwilling to be rehabilitated into wider society.

My folks neighbour got burgled a few month back by a fella in his 40's with 40+ odd convictions over a 10 or so year span accoring to the local press. Now you work oot on a year basis how many crimes he's commiting which suggests he aint doing much prison time and he isn't able to be rehabilitated, neither are serial killers, serial rapists, reoffending paedophiles.

Our current solution is to still release them into society to commit more crimes or the very worst (like your Ian Huntleys of the world) to lock em up for 40+ years in inhumane conditions.

The whole system is wrong and the Left care more about virtue signalling than preventing more victims of serious crime unfortunately.

Until one of the elite lose a child to knife crime or a wife or mother to abduction and rape then nothing will sadly change in how we tackle serious crime (which we never happen as they're protected round the clock).
