Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

As much as I would physically enjoy such frivolous acts I don't condone vengence on a personal level nor lude behaviour outside of marriage.

The woke lunatics however want to create a society of robots who have no gender, indentity, opinions, emotions in order to serve their metropolitan elite masters.

Back on topic now as this is steering too far from the Geordies and their Saudi owners.

I'm woke. Aren't we all these days?!

Back on topic. Seen £200m net spend quoted - I thought it was less than that for some reason. Maybe that's the way it's been spun in the media

Its a strange one, ive had debates with newcastle fans that think we have spent more than them, and genuinely think they have not spent much.

They have spent more in 2022 than we have since the start of 18/19 season.

Oh don't get me wrong. They're spent well.

But the narrative is they haven't spent and Howe has just improved the existing players.

He's done both. Spent £200mill and improved the existing ones. Win win

Yes defo mate, im not sure if anyone has spent more than them in the last year….and they will go again in jan I think.

They have spent it very well, thats the key.

But £135 million on 3 players for a quality spine.

It's a mixture though isn't it, buying players that play a certain way and that fit the system, the other part is having the right manager, but if I'm honest even though he's a supposed blue, I would never have picked Eddie Howe to be an Everton manager after watching him manage Bournemouth for years, decent going forward but awfully porous in defence, very Martinez in my view. Liverpool have done that for years, buying players that fit a system and playing to that system in the first team and their reserve teams, it helps Liverpool of course that they can buy top of the range players. Early days for Howe and Newcastle but I admit the way Howe is shaping Newcastle is definitely making me have second thoughts about him as a manager.

You get the feeling Newcastle are riding a wave of positivity in the way we were in Martinez's 1st season and Leicester when they won the title.

Almeiron is playing like the likes of Wes Morgan and Danny Drinkwater.

It'll come to an end at some stage then they'll turn on Howe as I dont think he's a manager thats going to have them competing for europe every season.

That's when they'll get Poch etc in. He'll set foundations

The existing ones weren’t that bad and were bought for big money.

Callum Wilson, Joelinton, Almiron - there’s a front three costing about 90 mill before Howe even arrived.

Willock a 20 mill midfielder, Saint Maximin was already there, Fabian Schar already there, Lascelles already there.

It was never that bad a squad.

Yeah. The media spin and their fanbase will make it out they're just fresh from the championship fighting for top 4 though.

Yeah it's early days like I said for both Howe and Newcastle, but you must admit it looks very promising for the latter of last season and all of this one so far.
