Newcastle vs Middlesbrough

Have a soft for Boro for their awesome UEFA goblet run. That being said F you bastards (except for Tuncay) who was the only player on the pitch for them. Imagine him on a team in which he didn't have run 50km/match to make up for his teamates ineptitude.

So it looks like this will end up being the pivotal factor in Newcastle's survival. Sam Allardyce-Lite clearly messed up big time with his decision to do this, lost dressing room and all that.

Know we wern't going through the best form at the time, but can't believe we drew with them early on in the season.

Anyway Newcastle will now stay up, gutted. See their fans after the game with the flags. Was as if they had won the league, bellends :@

Posted via Mobile Device No club is too big to go down but i always thought that the Toon would stay up. Stoke beating Hull on Saturday was the helping hand they had been waiting for, cant see them slipping back into the bottom three now.

Oh and ******* Owen, hes also proper ****.

But I agree Cal mate, they are safe now, bah.

No way I want to see Owen in an Everton shirt. The man has all but disappeared these last several matches.

Contrast that with Martens, who showed up with a point to prove for himself and his club.

If I were Shearer, then I'd make the Villa match my last one as their manager--especially if Newcastle stay up. It can't get any better for him in that role with their ownership and organisation. He's better off being seen as the man who saved the club from the drop--if that ends up taking place.

Newcastle will get zero points from Fulham and Villa.

If Hull can get something out of the Bolton match, then we're all good.

I'm obviously happy with this morning's result, but I don't think it's over. We must now beat Fulham and probably need a draw at Villa. Meanwhile Hull should get a point at Bolton, and could easily beat Man United at home, as United will probably be champions by then, and will be 3 days away from a Champions League final, so will field an understrength team. This could bring Sunderland into the equation.

I don't know if Hull is getting anything the rest of the season. Seems like this Hull is a world apart from the club that was tearing it up at the beginning of the season.

Doesn't seem all that long ago that Geovanni was rocking Fulham and Arsenal. The collapse has been as amazing to behold as the beginning.

If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Hull getting something from the Bolton game than Newcastle getting anything from Fulham and Villa.

Villa will want to try and keep hold of 5th, and Fulham are chasing Europe. Bolton arent going anywhere and Hull are fighting for survival.

Hull or only in the bottom 3 by goal difference. A point is going to keep either team up.

Seems to me that us getting fifth does matter. Isn't there an extra qualifying game to be played in the Europa League if we're sixth? Knowing our luck we'll get some Italian or Spanish wunderteam and get knocked out - Standard Liege?

So come on the toon - stuff Villa or get a point at least.

Not sure why Newcastle are so hated by many on this site. OK, they've not won anything for ages. Why so unpopular?

Because they have some of the most self-deluded fans in the country. Treat away fans like shiite at St James Park (read some of the horror stories). Spend ridiculous amounts of money for sub-par players who are on 100k a week, and expect/demand to win silverware, challange for Europe, while they sack managers every 6 months because the "fans" want attractive football over stability.

The fact they are labelled a "big club" that pudits and commentators have said its a club David Moyes should be at over Everton, is a sham to the term "big club". The club is ran like a joke.

They are a club that feels they are better than they actually are. They're not better or bigger than Stoke, Bolton, Wigan, Fulham, West Ham, etc but have the ego's of a team that are bigger than Villa, Everton or Chelsea who spend like the top 4. They're the Spurs of the north.

So, other than that you quite like them....

Nah, other than that I'm indifferent to them. They're nowhere near our league so I have no time for them.
