Incredible really. The lad had literally at most 10 good games for us in half a decade and some fools paid £25m to take him from us. Probably the worst player Everton has ever had in that price range, almost no question.
I can think of worse.

Nobody has really, he was crazy overrated by some supporters (wannabe hipsters), but also bizarrely hated by others (Goodsion da's).
All he really is, and always was, is just an average PL player who can look really handy if a team plays a monotonous possession-style. Only manager we had during his time here whom tried to play that way was Lampard, hence why in the back of the 2021/22 season he suddenly looked a really important player for us.
Don't wish him any ill but for generations to come he'll be the go-to example of a non-sensical panic buy.

You`d like to think that he`s a very strong candidate for the managers job one day.
Deffo mate, he's quietly just doing a good job with the U21's , you just know he's instilling in them all the good values he showed for us as a player.
