He was on umpteen thousand pounds a week as a teen/early twenty something, of course he thinks he's ace.. that he hasn't kicked on could be down to loads of reasons, one of which could be that he was just a little bit over rated to start with.

His loan spell with PSG seemed to go well, but after that things went downhill quickly. Not getting a decent run in the team when he signed really would have knocked his confidence, but then again plenty of you lads show potential for a short period when they come into a first team and after 12 months or so just don`t seem to be able to kick on or even retain that level.
