News of Ex Players

Good for the lad who seems to have made a starting place his own for Leige. It always makes me wonder if some of the young players we let go would have shown a bit more potential had they been given a run of games in the first team. We have always had one or two young lads look so promising and you`d hear their names mentioned regularly as one to watch out for but they seem to just not progress. Other teams seem willing to do this give an 18 year old a run of games, even as 20 or 30 minute runs as subs.

But then again when we have given a young player a run we stuck ourselves with Tom Davies for 4 years so maybe its a good idea for us to let these young players move on.

Graham Sharp. Would he be welcomed back? He doesn't think so.

Be a shame if he's not part of the 40 year anniversary.

Quite simple, he apologises for his " one man and his dog comment " and constantly belittling the fans in the media over his support for Kenwright.

I disagree with the notion he was a “puppet “ for Bill. I don’t think he was naive at all. Let’s face it, he was likely earning a living he probably wouldn’t get elsewhere.

He got very agitated and condescending to anyone who questioned the board/chairman , which was pretty telling in a way.

If people want to welcome him back that’s their business. I’m not having a so called journalist gaslighting fans over what transpired. He handled the situation poorly and with contempt, it’s all there for everyone to see.

Propaganda pieces are only going to annoy those already disappointed in him.

If he had been pragmatic between club and fans I don’t think he would be in this situation. He wasn’t. Maybe he was revealing what they think of you with his attitude should you question anything/anyone.

Be subservient and let them all earn a good wage with no disruption. Or the common term used “Just get behind the team”

He’s beginning to sound a bit whiney to me, I suspect if he came back to GP without loads of fanfare the majority wouldn’t really care. I think his now self imposed absence is more due be being a bit embarrassed about his part in some of the club propaganda.
Let be honest he will only be mingling with the corporates and club officials, majority of whom would have gotten all giddy at an audience with bill on a match day, and the rest are most likely too polite / professional to really make a big deal of any difference of opinion with Sharp.

Personally i would be all for him being front and centre of the festivities at the final game at GP, but only on the condition he brings his panda.
