I liked Marco Silva generally but could never fathom why he never gave Lookman more minutes in the season he got sacked. Walcott was a guaranteed starter in that season but was consistently playing like that Ali Dia fella who played that game for Southampton. Lookman would get 5-10 minute cameos off the bench and look miles better than him. But like others have said maybe his behaviour wasn't right. I think Silva mentioned once that he didn't train very well. I can't help but think though that if the club wasn't run like a circus we might have been able to manage Lookman better and get more out of him.

When you see how good he`s got on at Atalanta its hard not to think what might have been had he hit the ground running here. He`s probably landed at the right club at the right time as they have really been on the up and up and he has contributed to the success big time the last few years. Glad to see it workout for him and hope Godfrey can maybe get his career kick started there too.

He'll almost certainly move to one of the big 3 Italian clubs this summer.
Fair play to him but if he had been there at 20 it might have been different.
 

Randomly though of Tom Davies earlier. Has he soft retired? Can't find any info about him playing football for Sheffield United this season and his Instagram has more about his new business venture than football.

He`s got some long term injury.

It`s a bit of a strange one, as you can`t find any description of what`s wrong with him or how long he`s out for.

Probably the same reasons he wasn’t pulling up any trees under Nagelsmann, Parker or Brenda.
He has either adjusted his outlook or the Italian league / Atalanta suits him sufficiently to look a completely different player over there.
3 English teams and a German team couldn’t get a tune out of him, so it wasn’t an Everton or Silva issue imo.
