I’ve watched that again and I’ll admit he looks better then I remembered which I’m surprised at cause I did watch the vids at the time and also the u21 tournament he was in in which again, I’d say he looked poor. In my defence though looking at that vid there is a lot of very poor defending and goalkeeper error, there is also evidence of a poor first touch and decision making. Would I have taken him on a free though? Of course I would, it’s just the wages that were ridiculous.
Looking at clips of the best bits of a season you shouldn’t be able to criticise anything if the player is that good but they’ve had to put a few in there just to fill it out a bit. Imagine watching a vid of Jelavic in his first six months, it’d look awesome until you noticed he hit everything with one touch and they all went in. I can’t think of another footballer ever that was as flukey as that. Anyway it’s all opinions at the end of the day but I’m just wary of any vid that is designed to make a player look great and still gives me doubts.

I remember Marco Silva using him in pre season a couple of years ago but Sandro pushed for a move to Spain rather than try to make it at Everton.

Supposedly an excellent professional who gave 100% in training but just didnt cut it.

He played him in every friendly to give him a shot and he was atrocious. Therefore went out on loan.

There was loads of excitement at the time - He's just scored 14 goals in a season and we secured him for (what seemed at the time) a cut price fee
