If that happens I will join the not watching England crowd.Lampard is worryingly high on that list.
There's more go it than knowing what you're talking about though, there's managing people, emotions, characters, egos etc.I remember watching the 2010 game against Germany (the lampard disallowed goal one) in one of my mates, and my mates arl fella nearly went for me because I laughed when he was suggesting at full time we should replace Capello with Alan Shearer because “he knows what he’s talking about!”
So probably Alan Shearer for me.
Pep would be a dream for the FA but not sure the timing is right. Looks like he'll leave City next year but would they wait a year for him?
Howe is the best suited candidate IMO but not convinced he'd leave Newcastle for the job
He's done some job building this at Newcastle. On top of that he's an attacking minded coach and you see the best of it when he has better players.I am sure he would regard it as an honour and knows in his heart that he is just a stop gap in the evil corporations ways.
I would be OK if either Potter or Howe get it to be honest. The FA have to keep down the same route of getting the mentality and the togetherness of the squad right and I think they would be good for this. Add a bit more attacking focus and it could work out.
I know…There's more go it than knowing what you're talking about though, there's managing people, emotions, characters, egos etc.

I think he's suited down to the ground for the job but that's just my take.
ThisIt will be Howe now Staveley has left NUFC.
Saudis will want a "big" name manager
