Wouldn't touch fat Sam with a bargepole. He'd have us securely in midtable but playing turgid, stale football.

If we want any kind of a future we need a manager with a vision that can build a team and a style from top to bottom. Our youth team and our senior team in harmony.

Wagner for me. He's made huddersfield much better than the sum of their parts. They're good to watch. He could do something pretty special with our kind of resources.

Not at all.

I do understand what you are sating, but to describe him as shoite is just plain wrong as his record in management suggests the opposite.
He took a Estoril...a tiny place outside of Lisbon into the Europa League...and didnt lose to Benfica or Sporting home or away..he went to Sporting and won them their first silverware in 6 years.
He then went to Olympiacos and won 11 games on the trot winning the league. Beat Arsenal away 3-2 in the Champions league.

He went ti Hull...when he went there they were already gone with no hope whatsoever..he gave them hope and belief..so much so that they beat Man Utd & Liverpool.
I watched Watford play at Chelsea today..they went there without fearing the league champions and if they had put away their chances they would have won easily.
This with a team of players who besides Cleverley Deeney and the GK ( average players) no one had heard of .
Hes far from shoite. He motivates organises and creates belief in a player and the team.
A bigger club will pick him up eventually and he will have more talented players to work with and wgen he does he will be successful.

His philosphy is to organise his team and NOT to sit back....its exactly what we need.
However, as I said previously time will tell and I watch Watfords performances with interest
Absolutely futile to "dream" about him anyways he wouldnt swap jobs now. Koeman will be sacked inside a week and candidates have already expressed their willingness.

The one thing that he has always had, is self belief. All the time whilst at Hull he sent teams out to win games.
Considering what was/is going on at the club he impressed me mightily.

I really dont think its a dream.
Hes very ambitious and hes not going to win much with Watford..but thecway tgey play they maybe dark horses for tge FA Cup.
Who are those candidates that have expressed an interest?

Amazed by all the Unsworth shouts... may as well get Alan Stubbs back. He's had proper first team management experience after all.
There's one problem with getting a manager in, the no striker problem. If Unsworth got intially untill Christmas at least he knows well what available in the first team and U23 team, he's worked with them. A new manager coming hasn't and doesn't know anything about our players. So even if Unsworth steadied the ship then a new manager could come in January and at least sort out the striker issue straight away, a new manager coming in is going to struggle if he comes in now unless he can get Rooney or Niasse scoring regular, because I don't think DCL has it in him yet and Sandro has forgot how to play football since he arrived.

Christ almighty. I'd like to watch some form of football whilst putting up with the misery of watching Everton fail to win trophies. That rules out Fat Sam, Moyes and Benitez. percentage football is not for me.

Somebody with some balls that will organise and train and use a squad properly and actually look to score and win each game.

Why on earth after a decade of Moyes would you want to watch your team playing for a draw and hoping for a win?!?!

weren't you a Martinez fan to the death?

Until well into the third season yep.

I loved the first season and the positive side of his time at the club. The general idea of controlling games and taking it to the opposition. It meant I had a huge amount of patience with him until it just had to be stopped.

I don't really see what that's got to do with my call for a better manager than we have had for the last 20 years. I obviously would like any future boss to not allow the lack of organisation that happened under Martinez and is happening under Ronko.
