That Fonseca cites the Telegraph as a source doesn't it?

From what I can gather with google translate according to O jogo negotiations are very advanced. They later say in the article that according to The Telegraph Fonseca is interested in managing in the premier league.

has anyone seen a report or anything official from the club about this debacle? What is actually happening? Has it just been left whilst Mosh is away on business? Is there in fighting? Personally I dont see how anything good is happening behind the scenes right now.

Who is actually in charge when it comes to the hiring of a new manager?

Unsworth just now: 'I believe the board are sat talking to a few people with a decision still to be made'.

Is it better to appoint a manager who has survived relegation scraps or one who has been good enough that they've never been in one?

Not sure I buy into the logic that the survival at Sunderland/Palace (where relegation looked nailed on as it took 10 games to put some wins together) is more impressive than someone taking a team to midtable without any drama (like Pochettino did at Southampton)
